Experts Ong, Mañalac speak at Megaworld seminar24 May, 2018
On May 22 and 23, over a hundred brokers and salespersons converged to hear from two key real estate experts at the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) conducted by the National Real Estate Association, Inc. (NREA) in partnership with Megaworld Corporation.
Invited speakers Hon. Eduardo G. Ong, chairman of Professional Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service; and Atty. Alejandro Mañalac, chairman and co-founder of Havitas Developments Corporation, each delivered a whole-day talk on professional salesmanship--and for such renowned industry leaders to convene at a single event is a first time in the history of Megaworld.
“If you treat it part-time, real estate will also treat you part-time,” Mañalac emphasized as he shared principles on how to become a champion salesperson through skills, determination, positive attitude, resilience, and knowledge. On mastering the language of selling, Mañalac said that while there are different reasons people acquire things, salespersons can influence clients by elevating to the "level where emotions exceed reasons.”
Meanwhile, Ong focused on the importance of professionalism in the real estate service, citing broker license registration as an initial step to establish credibility and expertise.
Held at the Commerce and Industry Plaza, McKinley Hill, the seminar sought to promote competence among salespersons and equip them with current selling strategies. Participants were also encouraged to apply for broker accreditation and salesman certification during the event.
